Key Origination from Car and Motorcycle Lock Cylinders

Theory and practice

An in-person training course dedicated to car/motorcycle key origination from cylinders and the use of specific equipment.

This session will be divided into two parts, theory and practice, involving attendees in a key origination from scratch.

PLEASE NOTE: the participation fee includes the lunch.

All attendees will be added to a WhatsApp group in order to communicate with trainers and receive technical information as well as deeper notions about topics covered during the session.

PROGRAM SUMMARY

What you need to work on a cylinder:

• locksmith pinning tweezers
• key blade
• pillar drill
• magnifying glass
• organizer

Description of car/motorcycle keys and their lock systems

• Blades divide into two types: single-sided cut keys and double-sided cut keys.
  
  During this training, you will be shown how to make vehicle keys starting of the cylinder.

Disassembling a cylinder and parameter measurement

• Cylinder extraction from the lock, disassembling and key parameter reading

Use of the organizer and parameter setting for key recreation

• Entering key parameters manually in the key cutting machine
• Vehicle key creation from partial coding

Vehicle cylinder section

• Lock type presentation, disassembling, cylinder extraction
• Key recreation from scratch

Manual origination (with specific blades) when there is no specific procedure

• How to operate when the dedicated procedure tab is not available in the cutting machine: how to originate the key starting from the cylinder, using specific blades

Practical examples to get the cut code and to recreate manually

• Each attendee will carry out practical examples, recreating keys from scratch both with Futura Auto and manually.
