ECU & TCU + BMW and VAG Immo Systems Training in Casavatore

Magicmotorsport and Tecknoservice Motor, official reseller in Campania, are organizing a training session dedicated to engine control unit (ECU) and automatic transmission unit (TCU) programming with Flex and IXI Personal Flasher, to vehicle recalibration with StageX and focusing on BMW and VAG Immo systems.

This course will be the occasion to deeply understand how Magicmotorsport softwares and the Helpdesk platform work, as well as discover the main features of the test bench Dynomag Hub. Attend this training session and get the official Flex guide – Flex Book as a free gift.

The course divides into two sessions:

From 9.00 am to 1.00 pm

  • Flex presentation
  • Engine units and how they work
  • ECU and TCU programming methods with Magicmotorsport tools
  • OBD, JTAG, BDM, Bootloader, Bench
  • How to: the Helpdesk and services by Magicmotorsport
  • Use of Magicmotorsport softwares
  • Introduction to StageX
  • Overview of Magicmotorsport programming products and accessories
  • IXI Personal Flasher and Dynomag Hub

From 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

This part of the course provides the introduction of the EWS Immobilizer (Elektronische Wegfahrsperre), the first immo system for BMWs, introduced in 1993, and the evolution of this immobilizer category until current FEM/BDC systems. Therefore, some of the topics will be key programming and practical cloning, replacement, alignment procedures or control unit restore.

CAS systems (CAR Access System) will be explained, from their first version (CAS1) to the 4th encrypted version (CAS4+), focusing on modern models implementing new FEM / BDC systems.

  • OBD and Bench programming, when and how to choose the programming channel
  • How to read the BMW Immobilizer code (ISN)
  • File restore when immo module management file is corrupt.
  • Module cloning and replacement (ECU, TCU, CAS, FEM, BDC)
