New Cables for BootROM Mode
The BootROM function is ready on Flex for Cummins protocols, available with no additional fees via the Enable BootROM button, and enriched by the new BootROM cables for Cummins.
The BootROM function for Cummins is a special mode the ECU can be launched, allowing restore or programming operations when the firmware is damaged, for example after writing a corrupted, wrong or incompatible file.
Thanks to new BootROM cables for Cummins, programming heavy-duty control units in Bench is safer and more stable, and you can:
- restore damaged ECUs quickly and safely;
- correct programming errors without the need to replace the unit;
In order to activate the BootROM mode, you just need to connect the dedicated cables to the ECU, launch Flex and select Enable BootROM.
Version 7.19.0.0 expands Flex features and its new FLS0.15 license, that includes access to all Heavy-Duty protocols: the comprehensive solution to program heavy, industrial, and agricultural vehicles.
Here are the new available BootROM cables:
- FLX2.75 – BootROM cable for CM2100A
- FLX2.76 – BootROM cable for CM2150C and CM2150E
- FLX2.77 – BootROM cable for CM2200A and CM2200B
- FLX2.78 – BootROM cable for CM2220A, CM2220B, and CM2220C
- FLX2.79 – BootROM cable for CM2250
- FLX2.80 – BootROM cable for CM2350A and CM2450A
- FLX2.81 – BootROM cable for CM2350B and CM2450B

- FLS0.5S – SW Flex Full Slave
- FLS0.15M – SW Flex Heavy Duty OBD/Bench/Boot Master
